San Diego Street Elite was formed in 1997 to
promote the sport of inline speedskating in San Diego. The organization brings
skaters across the county together for regular skate training. The growing
membership currently includes over 40 skaters covering all ages and skating
abilities.
A primary focus of the San Diego Street Elite is
to improve each member's performance at outdoor inline races. The club provides
a means for members to share skating instructions, techniques, strategies, and
experiences. SDSE is represented at over 20 regional and national events
annually.
However, fitness skaters compose the majority of
San Diego Street Elite's membership. These include skaters looking to advance
from recreational skating, considering racing, or simply skate for the fitness
benefits. SDSE's training session cater to both fitness skaters and seasoned
racers.
San Diego Street Elite networks with speedskating
clubs in other cities in the regional area. This network allows faster
communication of the latest racing news and updates in the sport.
