San Diego Velodrome

        The SDVA hosts open public sessions for skating and cycling throughout the week at the San Diego Velodrome in beautiful Balboa Park. At the bottom of the banked cycling track is a flat, level apron which was recently repaved with smooth asphalt. Each lap of the oval track is 333m. Lighting installed in 1998 keeps the facility lit brightly after sunset for evening events.

        Veloskate training is for skaters of all levels, from those learning to skate to seasoned racers. The session is free, and you can come and go as you wish. Hope to see you there at the next session!

        These open public sessions are shared between skaters and cyclists, so please be courteous. There is no charge to attend, but you must supply your own equipment. Helmets are required. You will need to sign a liability waiver on your first visit.
